I’m a mere 6 months from my 30th Birthday and as lists keep me accountable I wanted to create a quick 30 before 30 to accomplish a few goals before I turn the big 3-0.  In hindsight, I wish I had created this list a few years ago where I could have established some milestones to really work towards.  They tell me life isn’t actually over when you turn 30 so I figure I have some time for the more lofty goals I hope to achieve.  You’ll find simple day-to-day goals that could be completed next week as well as others like traveling and growing this business that will take time.  I’ll keep this list updated in the coming months and document my progress.  Did anyone do something similar before hitting a milestone birthday?  I’d love to hear what goals and accomplishments you made/achieved.

  1. Read 50 books.  I just finished Wilde Lake by Laura Lippman if anyone is looking for a great mystery.
  2. Travel out of the country at least once.
  3. Organize our kitchen and make our cabinets more accessible
  4. Develop a financial plan with my husband and start putting away more for retirement and in our savings.
  5. Get Audrey Hazel up and running with measurable growth!  Details coming soon!
  6. Visit the eye doctor and get a new pair of glasses.
  7. Finish decorating our master bedroom.
  8. Go to a drive-in movie with my husband.
  9. Grow my instagram following by working on a more streamlined brand and through more regular posting.
  10. Clean out my closet and donate at least 20 pieces of clothing.
  11. Put together our wedding album with Artifact Uprising.
  12. Update/re-do some of the art in our living room with pieces we found while in San Francisco. I’ve lived with our gallery wall for about 5 years now and it’s starting to feel a little stale.
  13. Learn how to curl my hair with a curling iron or flat iron.  (This will most likely be the hardest to accomplish out of them all.  I’m miserable at hair…)
  14. Get a facial.
  15. Write an updated house tour blog post.
  16. Book 5 more weddings with Manor Court.
  17. Make boeuf bourguignon from The Art of French Cooking.  Ever since seeing Julie and Julia, I’ve been fascinated by this dish and Julia Child.
  18. Take a hot yoga class.
  19. Have our home photographed and submit to a lifestyle blog.
  20. Host a brunch on our new patio.
  21. Learn how to sew.  Working on this one next week!  I am so excited for my mom to teach me this skill.
  22. Buy a new runner for our kitchen, I’m thinking a red oriental vintage rug.  If you know any great places in the Raleigh area to buy vintage rugs, please let me know.
  23. Attend High Point Market
  24. Create a legacy wall in our living room with classic white frames.
  25. Put our piano on new casters and have it tuned.
  26. Start learning how to play the piano!
  27. Style our new barcart.
  28. Buy a nesprsso maker.  We had one in our room on our honeymoon and I loved it.
  29. Organize our bookshelves.
  30. Take a weekend trip to New Bern.
